A Central private utility has executed a Western Energy Imbalance Market (WEIM) Implementation Agreement with the California Independent System Operator (CAISO), and is planning to join the WEIM in 2026. Utilicast will provide professional services to support the design, integration and testing of EIM software applications, the modeling and registration of current resources and transmission assets, development of business processes, and training of personnel.

Utilicast will support a Central public utility’s Transmission Connection Agreements team on Generation Interconnection studies and coordination. This support includes the completion of Interconnection Facility Reports as necessary on behalf of the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) under the existing Study Services Agreement (SSA) for Interconnections Customer applications submitted into MISO Definitive Planning Phase (DPP) process.

An Eastern investor-owned utility experienced a significant storm in June 2024 that resulted in widespread outage across their service territory. As a result, Utilicast was selected to serve as storm training subject matter advisors during an effort to review and potentially uplift select storm processes, roles, and training. Services will include a review of storm plan and roles, as well as support developing and delivering training as requested.

A private Mountain utility has contracted Utilicast to provide consulting in connection with the implementation of the Owner FlowgateMethodology (MOD-030). Services include assisting with determining the costs and efforts involved in implementing Flowgate Methodology according to the NERC guidelines.

Utilicast was selected to support the preliminary ADMS upgrade conversations representing a Central municipality’s PI group. Utilicast will participate in conversations to ensure a robust design is developed in a way to minimize impacts to current PI design and processes. Utilicast will review tag names, current AF models, tag attributes and other applications consuming PI tags to assess the design changes/implications.
