Utilicast agreed to assist a Southwestern utility with their Energy Management System (EMS) replacement activities, specifically in the areas of Control Room IT and Technology Operations, Control Room Desktop deployment and management, related Support Systems, and associated compliance activities.
A Western U.S. Transmission owner is transitioning an estimated 500+ transmission lines from CAISO to their operational control. This effort requires a significant amount of coordination and project structure to be sure that all project activities are properly identified, tracked, and completed. This project will involve a large and diverse team from Grid Operations, EMS, Operations Technology, SCADA, and Asset Management.
Utilicast will support a Western U.S. Distribution operator with Post Operation Go-Live Support.
Utilicast will support a Southwestern Utility with subject matter expertise and experience in OSI Monarch EMS to support testing and readiness activities for EIM.
Utilicast will enhance EMS to support EIM operations for a Southwestern Utility. Utilicast will also provide support staff with training on OSI Monarch. Utilicast will work with TEP to establish support procedures for both EMS and ADMS.
Utilicast will provide knowledge to WEIM SMEs who will work hand in hand with staff from a large wind operator and stakeholders on those activities as described within the project whole- EIM Implementation. It is anticipated that an initial ramp-in will occur as consultants ramp off of other WEIM projects to engage in this effort.
A U.S. Grid Operator is installing a Model Manager System and upgrading its Energy Management System and Commercial Models. Utilicast will provide leadership, knowledge, and training to successfully implement the Model Manager System.
Utilicast will perform a gap assessment for an independent energy supplier’s participation in CAISO EIM. The initial phase will address threshold questions of viability. A potential second phase will deliver a cost assessment.
A leading energy supplier acquired Utilicast for a PI project and operational support to assist the Generation IT support teams. This role will support all PI systems for Fossil, Nuclear, and Renewables. The project role will assist in delivering application and infrastructure upgrades and improvements in addition to day-to-day operations support of the existing systems.
