Utilicast was selected to support a Midwestern Independent System Operator in implementing FERC Order 881 to leverage ambiently adjusted ratings across operations.
Utilicast was selected to provide an Eastern public utility’s Real Time Operations personnel with new energy management applications that can reveal system changes undetectable through traditional EMS and that can serve as a backup in the event of primary system degradation or failure. These new Synchrophasor based applications will potentially include wide area network monitoring, oscillation and islanding detection capability.
