| Dominion Energy has been a great partner to Utilicast. One of the ongoing efforts is to develop an internal consultancy for their Transmission group. Like other utilities, Dominion has a huge cache of operational data that can support the business. Data lakes and warehouses are great, but engineers must understand the data before the data can be used. This includes accuracy, precision, cleanliness (especially with sensors), and how different datasets can be joined. Utilicast is providing Subject Mater Experts (SMEs) to create processes to clean and join the data and implement tools to help them use the data they already have in PI, SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft data stores. Seeq (pronounced seek) has been an amazingly effective tool for Dominion engineers.
